A George III silver cream jug, marks for George Smith (II), London 1778, of baluster form on domed circular foot with leaf-capped scroll handle, punched bead border, 12.2cm high, weight 3.25ozt

More Information

Possible signs of repair to the bottom of the handle and the underside of the foot (see pictures). Small, shallow dents around the body, and moderate scratching and wear. It appears there may of been a crest to the front at some point, but this has now worn away almost completely. The foot has some denting/misshaping to the rim, meaning it does not sit flat on a level surface and has a wobble. No splitting, major dents or punctures.
