More Information
Both candlesticks show evidence of a green covered base which has since been lost. The wooden bases do appear to 'stick out' slightly. Wooden bases are heavily scratched and worn. Hallmarks to the bases are slightly worn, but are legible.
Bases show heavy scratching and show general wear, and there are some small dents concentrated to the highpoints. The engraving to the crests show moderate wear, but are legible. Bases show some small areas of splitting concentrated around the corners and angles of the base, but no signs of repair.
Columns show moderate scratching, denting and wear. Some wear and loss of definition to masks and detail. Some splitting around the foliate and swag decoration. Moderate denting, scratching and wear to capitals. Painted marks to capitals (see pictures).
Sconces are not hallmarked silver. Crest to base and sconces are matching. Sconces show moderate denting, scratching and wear. Please see the additional pictures for illustration.
