A Chinese porcelain temple jar and cover, Kangxi (1661-1722) the high shouldered vase of ginger jar form, externally decorated with panels of blossoming flora and fauna against a pale green ground (possibly later European decorated), the domed cover surmounted by a dog of fo, 57cm high (at fault)

Extensively cracked and re-glued throughout.
Large section to cover rim missing. Cracks and voids visible throughout. Pitting and surface wear apparent. Dog of Fo mount historically reattached. Required professional restoration.
