A George III silver nutmeg grater, Samuel Meriton II, London 1789, modelled as a barrel with turned decoration, screw top opening to reveal pierced rasp, 36mm high, weight 18.8gms

Heavy rusting, thinning and wear to the rasp. Traces of unidentified residue to the rasp, some holes are blocked, possibly indicating repair, professional cleaning required (see pictures). Some denting the body, mostly concentrated around the top and bottom. Moderate scratching and general wear to the exterior. No splitting or signs of repair. Traces of silver polish to the interior. Hallmarks are clear. See pictures for illustration.
