This piece is hallmarked to the base, and is stamped with a lion passant to the inside cover, but no other hallmarks are visible.

There is heavy denting to the body - several, medium to large sized dents to the exterior. There is scratching and wear to the base, body, spout and cover commensurate with age and use. No splitting, signs of repair or obvious thinning to the piece. Cover opens smoothly and closes flush. Engraving and decoration is crisp and clear. Jug sits flat on a level surface.
