The engraved image is clear and well defined, but a shade or two darker than it would have been orginally. This darkening extends in a border approximately 4cm wide around the central image. The area beyond this border shows foxing throughout. The gilt inner edge of the frame shows some wear, scratching and scuffs. The outer frame shows evidence of previous repair to the corners.
