A sycamore butchers block, late 19th/early 20th century, of gnarled and worn rectangular form, raised upon associated trestle type supports of square section, 79cm H x 120cm W x 58cm D

More Information

The slab top has been used on both sides, and shows extensive wear to both. The two trestle-type supports are later constructed and have been strengthened with more recent lower stretchers. These show splits at the joints, probably as a result of screw insertion. There are odd small areas of historic woodworm damage (see photos). The legs show uneven wear and may not sit perfectly level.
