A late 19th century shell cameo, the oval cameo depicting winged woman facing sinister with anchor and star detail, mounted in yellow metal mount modelled as snake, with hinge pin fastening, 5.5cm wide, 28gms

The mount is in good condition with slight discoloration seen to reverse (see image)
Hinge pin in good working order, possible later replacement.
Minor scratching throughout mount commensurate with age and use.
Minor dent seen near the hinge pin, to side of mount (see images)
Cameo in good condition, hairline crack seen when shining torch from reverse (see images) no major chips to carving.
Slight residue seen to carving, would benefit from a clean.
