A pair of George III silver salts, probably Joseph Scammell, London 1791, each of circular pedestal form with chased borders and silver gilt interiors, engraved with the Neilson family crest and motto 'Praesto Pro Patria', each 6cm high, together with a pair of silver coloured salt spoons, each 10cm long, gross weight 5.71ozt (4)

Moderate scratching and wear throughout. No large dents, splitting or repair. Engraved detail shows some wear, but is legible. One is slightly wobbly on a level surface. Spoons show heavy denting and thinning to the rims of the bowls, and there is a small split running from the rim to the bowl on one example. Some thinning to handles, but no major dents or splits. Moderate wear to the engraved detail of the handles. Moderate scratching and wear throughout.
