A 19th century elm hall bench of cottage proportions, the shaped end supports united by a rail back and board seat, 72cm H x 68cm W x 29cm D, extensive historic worm (at fault)

More Information

Extensive historic worm throughout, with chips and losses to the rear of the seat, multiple gouges and marks along with a slight bow in the seat board. Some wear and losses at the feet of the two supports along with multiple minor splits.
The joints and boards stress when sat on which would indicate the bench would acquire attention before being used as a seat, the bench is probably reduced from a longer bench, timbers appears to be period but are heavily stained.
