A pair of George IV silver alms dishes by Samuel Hennell, London 1822 (g) and 1823 (h), each of circular form with moulded foliate borders, both inscribed to base 'The Elegant Gift was Presented to Miss Noble by Mrs Richard Croft July 1823', each 29cm wide, weight 39.88ozt

Overall condition is good. One dish shows an area of green discolouration to border (photographed left and up close). Neither shows signs of thinning or major denting. There is a moderate amount of small holes and areas of splitting to the rims of the cast borders. Small area of possible solder repair (pictured). Casting flaws visible to the reverse. Hallmarks and engraving are clear, detail to molded borders in crisp.
