A Chinese porcelain famille rose centre bowl, Qianlong (1736-1795), the large circular bowl externally decorated with two reserves depicting officials and figures, some travelling on horseback, and some in an interior, interspersed with vignettes of further figures, against a gilt highlighted ground with floral sprays, the interior with a spear head border and central panel with two figures, 28.5cm diameter (at fault)

Very small chip to the rim of the bowl. No signs of restoration and repair. Staining to the interior. Pitting and fritting visible. Decoration worn in areas. Section of misfiring can be seen to the side of the bowl externally. Smudging to the spear head border. Old written inscription to the underside of the bowl.
