A George III oak and mahogany cross banded mule chest, the rectangular hinged top opening to a fitted candle box, above three fielded front panels and a pair of conforming cross banded drawers, applied with brass swan neck swing handles, raised upon stile feet, 84cm H x 131cm W x 54cm D

Slight bow to lid. Right hand side with possibly later under rail. Left hand side equivalent rail missing. Historic decay to front left top corner, leaving open joints. Further similar wear to left hand top rail and left hand side of front top rail. Lock possibly original, however secured with later fixings. Later escutcheons and handles. Extensive historic woodworm damage to right hand side panel of right hand drawer. General surface wear and knocks commensurate with age and use.
