A 16th/17th century oak coffer front panel, possibly French, applied with an iron lock plate above four panels, each centred with a Romayne portrait roundel depicting alternating male and female subjects, embraced by scrolling foliate detail, dolphins and eagles, above a plain lower frieze and flanked by carved uprights, 75cm H x 138cm W (at fault)

No lid or lock hasp
7cm deep on the end uprights, 4cm deep panel.
Two 'L' shaped iron brackets fitted to the rear of the panel. A 20cm 'cut in' repair at the foot of the left hand upright, signs of historic worm particularly on the RH plain panel upright and on the two carved end uprights each with gnarled wear.
Otherwise general rubbing and wear commensurate with age
