A George III silver teapot and stand, Henry Green London 1787, the teapot of oval form with reeded banding to the body, spout and handle, the hinged cover with wooden finial and handle with carved thumb piece, 14cm high, 16.7ozt, with a matching oval stand on four ball feet, 16cm wide, 4ozt (2) Accompanied by a February 1958 edition of Country Life magazine referencing the purchase of this teapot (pg. 342) and receipt of purchase

Teapot: Fair order. There are a moderate amount of small dents to the body concentrated to the base and spout. Moderate scratching and pitting the the body and spout.
There is evidence of large split in the base and subsequent solder repair (please see pictures). There are also a couple of small patches of solder repair to the base and around the top of the handle where it meets the teapot, and possible signs of further solder repair around the banding.
Cover is slightly stiff, but opens easily and closes flush. The knop is loose, and the silver mount to the knop is slightly twisted. Handle is secure.
Base: Fair order. Some possible signs of solder repair around the feet. Some denting concentrated around the border, and moderate scratching. Feet are heavily dented, and it does no sit flat on a level surface, wobbling slightly.
Hallmarks to both pieces are crisp and clear.
