A Victorian 9ct gold belcher link chain, later spring ring and loop fastening, stamped ‘9c’, 52cm long, weight 17.5gms (at fault)

There are smaller rings within the faceted links, presumably for extra security - some of these have come loose, and one appears to have been used to repair a previous breakage - see pictures for illustration. There is moderate denting, thinning and wear to the links, and moderate loss of definition to the faceted detail. Possible signs of repair to some of the links. Spring ring and loop are in good working order, but may be a later replacement.
