Fees

An ebonised hardwood and pottery torchere, early 20th century, the square top above a turned ebonised column and pottery sleeve moulded with relief foliate detail, upon a square plinth base, 108cm H x 25cm Sq

More Information

Wear to black painted finish of the top through to the wood in places. Top probably a later addition. The odd chip, crack and worm hole (appear to be inactive) to the turned wooden sections. Square base shows similar condition. Pottery sleeves show surface crazing, wear to the glazed finish, pin head glazing faults and the odd nibble to highpoints throughout. Top wooden section does not appear to fit fully into the section below.
