More Information

The piece shows no visible evidence of repair or restoration. The low relief areas show some tarnishing, and the underside of the hinged cover shows a yellowish hue (this could be tarnish, but may equally be the remnants of heavily rubbed gilding). The glass is shows surface wear, fine surface scratching and the odd air bubble. It appears to be clear, but would benefit from cleaning.
