An 18th century carved oak mule chest, the four panel hinged top over three front panels and two drawers, all carved with lozenge and flowerhead detail, raised upon stile feet, 76cm H x 121cm W x 55cm D

Wear and staining commensurate with age and use throughout, including some drips and residue. Top shows split, 11.5cm long, to central baton. Three pierced holes to right hand of top with further possibly worm hole to right hand top panel. Evidence of further historical wood worm intermittently throughout. Left hand drawer lacking handle, right hand drawer with later handle. Feet showing expected wear, surface deterioration and decay. Interior with later red paper lining preventing inspection. Hinges possibly later.
