More Information

Panel: Large fracture running horizontal through the panel, which has been later repaired. Several intersecting hairline cracks running throughout the glazing, as well as small chips and losses, and pits and frits throughout. The panel appears to have been overpainted in places with a brown coloured pigment, and could benefit from professional cleaning. There are several chips, fractures and nibbles to the borders of the panel. The sides and reverse shows heavy wear and areas of loss. Base shows heavy wear, with some chips and nibbles to the corners and edges.

Lozenge tiles: Al tiles show heavy wear and tear. Cracks and crazing, pits and frits to the glazing throughout, areas of loss to the glazing, mostly on the sides of the tiles. All tiles show some discoloration, ranging from mild to heavy. Scratching, chips, nibbles and losses throughout, mostly concentrated to the edges and sides. Each tile has a later leather backing, and has/once had a later mount added.

Rectangular example: Heavy wear and tear. Several surface fractures and small areas of loss to glazing. Fractures and chips concentrated to the sides, edges and corners. Signs of overpainting and repair. Later leather backing and mount to reverse.
