A 16th/17th century oak six plank coffer, the rectangular hinged plank top with serrated edges above four carved panels, raised upon 'V' cut end supports, 53cm H x 141cm W x 44cm D (at fault)

Chip to top rear RH corner, 4cm long, full width split to top with bridging bars added to underside, evidence of worm in the bars.
Hinges and lock replaced, split to the RH side with strengthening bar added to the inside, evidence of historic worm in the feet.
RH side stands slightly proud at the top and LH side has evidence of stain possibly indicating some later restoration, slight separation in the base board from the front and back boards
