(Gabriel) Smith, Chester, the hood with a blind fretwork frieze over tapering pillars flanking the 31cm square brass dial, centred with a subsidiary second dial and date aperture, signed with the makers name, enclosing the two train movement striking on a saucer bell, to a slender plain cross banded case, conforming lower board and plinth base, 206cm high, two weights and pendulum

Braces added to the backboard which is possibly later, further minor evidence of restoration to the case.
Movement and board appear to be later, please see additional images.
Hands also appear to be later, indicating the clock has undergone a degree of restoration.
Clock movement is un-tested although looks to be well maintained.
