A replica muzzle loading percussion cap sporting rifle by Manton, the lock with chased scroll and foliate decoration, the trigger guard extending to a scroll below the the stock with chased star motif under, the stock with engraved cartouche, the barrel 80cm long, 121cm long overall, lacking ramrod (at fault)

The firing mechanism appears to be in working order, but may require some maintenance or adjustment. The stock shows wear and patina consistent with age and use. The barrel and all metal fittings show fine surface scratching and oxidation. The ramrod housing is split at the front edge. The ramrod is not present. There are small areas of white residue on the stock and the barrel. We have not been able to find a serial number on the piece.
