A novelty silver open salt, Chester circa 1900, realistically modelled as a pig and trough, the trough measuring 4.9cm x 2.9cm, weight 13.3gms (at fault)

More Information

Overall condition is poor. There appears to have been previous damage and later repair wear the feet meets the trough - there is heavy spitting to the legs and a thick, textured build up at the join, which is indicative of solder repair. There are no other signs of splitting, but there is additional signs of solder repair to the trough. There is heavy denting, scratching and to the pig and the trough. The pig appears to have had glass eyes at one point, but these are now absent (there are no eyes). The hallmarks are heavily worn.
