A 19th century Italian micro mosaic necklace, in the manner of Antonio Civilotti, the woven necklace suspending thirteen quatrefoil and trefoil pennant micro mosaic panels, the panels depicting early Christian symbols including The Lamb of God, Chi Rho and Doves, Vatican mark of crossed keys to the reverse of the quatrefoil panels, 44.5cm long, centre panel 6cm long, 100gms

Please note, we have not tested the metal and there are no visible hallmarks.
General scratches, blemishes and minor dents to the reverse of the panels, commensurate with age and use.
Hook fastening is a little hard to hook, but still functional.
No obvious pulled areas of the woven necklace.
Some jump rings suspending quatrefoil panels are stamped indistinctly '8'
Minor discolouration to the panels and metal.
Majority of jump rings show wear and gaps, commensurate with age and wear.

Minor areas of loss to the central mosaic.
Quatrefoil mosaic shows area of loss to outer edges.
Panel 2:
Minor areas of loss to the mosaic, seen particularly to the circular suspended mosaic.
Panel 3:
Minor areas of loss to edges of dove mosaic, and red detailing above and below.
Panel 4:
Minor areas of loss to the red areas of mosaic
Panel 5:
Minor areas of loss to the blue area of mosaic.
Panel 6:
Discolouration to panel
Minor area of loss to the mosaic depicting grapes
Panel 7:
Raised areas of mosaic to the red outer edges.
Areas of loss to the lamb in the centre.
Minor areas of loss to the quatrefoil panel suspended from lamb panel.
Panel 8:
No major areas of loss to the mosaic.
Panel 9:
Areas of loss to the blue mosaic, particularly to the central panel.
Panel 10:
Minor areas of loss seen throughout.
Panel 11:
Large area of loss seen to the doves face, radiating out to the background
Panel 12:
Minor area of loss to the circular red panel
Panel 13:
Minor area of loss to the border of the central motif and further areas.
Reverse of necklace shows minor areas of surface scratches, dents and blemishes.
