Fees

An early George III oak cased thirty hour longcase clock, signed John Roberts, Wrexham, circa 1770, the flat top hood with a moulded cornice and tapering pillars flanking the 28cm square brass dial, applied with Roman and Arabic numerals, centred with a date crescent and signed with the makers name, the thirty hour movement striking on a saucer bell, above the plain case and lower board, upon a plinth base with integral bracket feet, 200cm high, weight and pendulum

More Information

Cheek pieces are later along with side extensions to the backboard indicating that the movement/dial are possibly a marriage to the case.
Movement looks well maintained however remains un-tested.
Very minor evidence of historic worm to the hood.
Otherwise the case appears to be in good condition with no obvious faults or damage.
