A late 19th century French boule work and ebonised mantel timepiece, of waisted form with applied boule work and brass work to the front, the 11cm painted white bezel with Roman numerals, centred by the visible escapement, and enclosing the eight day movement stamped 'Marque de Fabrique, Depose, Paris', serial number 14951, with a paper label 'Brevete SGDG' to the inside of the door, the clock applied with gilt metal mounts upon leaf scroll feet and a conforming boule work plinth base, clock height 37cm with plinth 44cm, within a glass dome and ebonised plinth base, dome height 47cm
