* Attributed to Joseph Bridge of Shrewsbury (British, 1845–1894),
Study for a half length portrait of Benjamin Llewellyn Vawdrey (1809-1892), seated holding spectacles and wearing a button hole,
Oil on canvas,
Unsigned,
90.5cm x 70.5cm,
Gilt framed (at fault)

More Information

The frame appears to be structurally sound, but shows slightly open joints at the corners, some rubbing and wear to the gilt finish, and some losses to the moulded details. The top edge and other areas show white residue across the surface. The gilt finish appears to be original, however the vendor does not discount the possibility that it may have been re-gilded at some point in the past.

Overall dimensions of frame: 122cm x 102cm
