A George III silver teapot by Michael Plummer, London 1793, of oval form with half-reeded decoration, phoenix crest to one side and coat of arms to the other, hinged cover with ebonised knop and handle, 15.5cm high, weight 15.94ozt

Evidence of extensive solder repair to several places on the teapot, including the sides around the reeded decoration, hinge of the cover, spout and base. (please see images). Heavy amount of denting, ranging from small to large in size, mostly concentrated to the reeded high points of the body and spout. Handle and knop in good order. Cover opens smoothly and closes flush. Moderate wear to the crests on both sides of the piece.
