A George III mahogany chest on chest, with a moulded dentil cornice over three short and three long cockbeaded and oak lined drawers, each applied with pierced brass back plates and swing handles, enclosed by reeded and canted corners, upon the lower chest with a brushing slide over three conforming graduated drawers, raised upon ogee bracket feet, 189cm H x 113cm W x 55cm D (at fault)

All handles and escutcheons appear to be later replacements.
Top chest: Top left section of cornice frieze detached but present. Losses to block detail of frieze on left and right sides. Small loss to beaded edge of top left corner of centre draw (2.5cm long). Loss to lower left beaded edge of top long drawer (4cm long). Loss to carcass veneer approx. 9cm long on left side of same drawer with further repair below. Repair to lower right carcass veneer on right hand side. Middle long drawer over-closes on left hand side (stop present, but not functional). Split and repair to carcass veneer, lower right corner. Loss to beaded edge of lower long drawer, 11.5cm long. Bottom bead loose at lower left edge. Joint to beading on right hand edge of lower long drawer, suggesting later repair or replacement. Repair to carcass veneer, left hand side of lower long drawer.
Bottom chest: Cap moulding on right hand side of lower drawers loose. Brush slide shows panel shrinkage to central section revealing open joint. First long drawer of base chest over-closes on right hand side (stop present but not functional). Carcass veneer repairs to left hand side of top and middle long drawers. Second long drawer of base chest shows loss to top beaded edge, 28.5cm long. Third long drawer shows loss to beaded edge on left hand side, 9.5cm long, with further split above, approx. 11cm long. Same drawer shows loss to right hand beaded edge, 3.5cm long with further joints below, suggesting later repair or replacement (some sections loose). Same drawer shows loss to right hand side of lower beaded edge, 4.5cm long. Crude replacement to carcass veneer, right hand side, between drawers two and three. Losses to shaped mouldings on lower right foot (pieces present). Further loss to shaped moulding of left foot (piece present). Repaired split to the top of the left bracket foot.
