Oil on canvas,
Unsigned,
74cm x 62.5cm

More Information

The painting appears to have been subject to heat at some point in the past, causing areas of the varnish to melt and shrink back across the paint surface, particularly on the left hand side and lower areas. The paint surface shows some losses and disruption as a result, and craquelure to the remaining areas. The frame appears to be structurally sound, but the gilt finish appears to have been overpainted at some point in the past, losing some detail in the moulding. The frame also shows the odd small loss to the moulded details.
