A cut glass silver plated decanter in the manner of Christopher Dresser, of baluster form with cut base, plain polished mount with angled handle and hinged cover, 25.5cm high (at fault)

No cracks or fractures to the glass body. Some chips and nibbles are visible to the glass beneath the collar. There is scratching and wear to the body, concentrated round the base, commensurate with age and use. There are several splits to the silver coloured mount and around the spout (see pictures). There is some lifting between the mount and glass around the handle. Mount, handle and cover show general scratching and wear, and some loss to plate. Cover is slightly wobbly at the hinge, but opens smoothly and closes flush.
