A Victorian carved shell cameo bracelet, comprising seven oval carved shell cameo panels, each carved with male and female silhouettes in Classical dress, the principal cameo measuring 29mm x 25mm, all set in gold coloured mounts, tongue and box snap clasp fastening, length approximately 16cm (at fault)

This bracelet has not been tested for gold content. It is our opinion that the mount is gold plated rather then gold.

The cameos are in good order, no major piercing, chips or losses. All shows general scratching and wear commensurate with age and use, most wear concentrated to the highpoints. There are some beginning signs of splitting to the backgrounds of a couple of cameos. There is moderate denting, thinning and wear to the mounts. There is some gapping around a couple of the cameos and the mounts. The clasp is heavily dented and not in working order.
