A Flintlock Holster Pistol by Robert (1) Silke, circa 1690, with three-stage barrel struck with maker’s mark, signed rounded lock engraved with scrolling strawberry foliage and involving monsters’ heads below the pan, walnut full stock, silver trigger-guard and ramrod-pipe, engraved flat iron side-plate of scrolling form, engraved spurred iron pommel fitted with silver cap, and flat iron escutcheon (the barrel worn, perhaps cut back at the muzzle, light pitting throughout, the stock replaced, perhaps within the working life of the pistol, ramrod missing)
