A silver King's pattern ladle by Josiah Williams & Co, London 1901, 32cm long, weight 11.2ozt, together with a silver fish slice, the blade with pierced and engraved decoration and monogrammed initials 'EL', set to a later weighted handle, 17.6cm long, hallmarks to blade for Thomas Daniell, London 1786, 27.5cm long (at fault) (2)

Ladle: Condition is very good. No thinning, splitting, denting or repair. Heavy scratching, moderate pitting and wear concentrated to bowl. All decoration is crisp. Hallmarks are clear, though half of maker's mark is worn.
Fish slice: Overall fair. Heavy solder repair evident to the blade of the fish slice. A supportive metal bar has been added to the reverse, possibly to join the handle to the later blade. The blade itself is otherwise in fair condition, some thinning around the edges, no signs of splitting, denting. Moderate scratching and wear to front and reverse. Handle shows heavy denting, scratching and wear. Join between handle and blade is split slightly. Hallmarks to the handle are worn.
