Moderate scratching, wear and tear to the exterior. Ripples and some splitting to the veneer. Some chips and knocks to the beading. Associated escutcheon. Moderate wear and tear to the velvet interior. Cover opens smoothly and closes flush. Some loss to the fabric on the base. See pictures for further illustration.
