A mourning portrait miniature on porcelain, early 19th century, the tondeau miniature depicting 'Mrs Aberdeen at the tomb of her only child Augusta', gilt framed under verre eglomise glass, dated '1814' with hand written inscription verso, 7cm diameter

Overall condition worn, image itself still with bright and clear pigment, there is a possible hairline crack to the miniature across the corner of the tomb stone, glass with surface scratching and wear to gilt design, frame with scuffs and a loss towards the middle, wear to the gilt paint, splits to wooden frame, rips through the back of paper, loop fitting tarnished, piece in need of clean.
