A silver mounted cut glass whiskey noggin, Barker Brothers Silver Ltd, Birmingham 1937, of tapering form with loop handle and star cut base, plain polished mount with hinged cover, with associated silver decanter label for 'Whiskey', 10.5cm high, together with a similar example, Herbert Bushell & Co Ltd, Birmingham 1909, 10.7cm high (at fault) (2)

Both examples show cracks in the glass where the top of the handle meets the body (see pictures). No other cracks, chips, repairs or breakages to the glass. Glass shows general scratching and wear commensurate with age and use.

The Herbert Bushell example shows some denting and splitting to the mount (see pictures). The thumbpiece is misshapen (see pictures). The mount shows moderate scratching and wear. No signs of repair. The cover opens and closes smoothly, but does not sit flush. The Barker Brothers example shows possible signs of repair around the thumbpiece, but no large dents or splits. General scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. The Whiskey label is in good order, showing general scratching and wear, and some loss of definition to the engraving, but no denting, splitting or signs of repair.
