Manner of Pierre Jules Mene (French, 1810-1879), a bronze patinated spelter model of a horse, unsigned, on marble base, 23.5cm high overall (at fault)

The horse shows white marks to its right side. It is not clear if these are some form of residue, or if they are wear to the patinated finish. The marble base shows a fracture along a natural fault in the stone. This has resulted in a degree of movement between the two parts, although each section remains securely attached to the horse's legs.
