A near pair of ash and elm Windsor elbow chairs, early 19th century, each with a hoop back and pierced splat over a shaped and figured elm seat, upon ring turned baluster legs and peg feet, united by an 'H' cross stretcher, 90cm high, one chair stamped 'F Walker, Rockley' (2) (at fault)

First chair; seat 42cm H x 48cm W x 39cm D.
Evidence of historic worm to the arm terminal, restoration to the cross stretcher and leg joints, small split to rear leg, some light gnawing to the front of one cross stretcher, little or no play in the chair joints, stamped 'F Walker' to the side of the seat.
Second chair; seat 44cm H x 49cm W x 38cm D
Split running from side of seat 13cm long, cross stretchers have been re-situated with the original joints later filled, front LH foot appears to be splayed, although all joints appear firm.
Both chairs with general wear commensurate with age and use
