A Chinese porcelain powder blue brush pot (bitong), Kangxi (1661-1722), of tapering cylindrical form with an all-over external powder blue glaze, the underside with concentric circle mark, 11.5cm high

More Information

No obvious chips, cracks or restoration. Imperfections to the glaze can be seen around the rim and towards the lower section of the exterior. Scratches to the glaze and surface can be seen throughout. Signs of pitting and fritting evident throughout. The interior is stained with ink. Foot rim unglazed and grubby. The interior sides show incised moulding marks. Commensurate wear throughout.
