The canvas appears to have been re-lined at some point in the past, however examination under UV reveals no obvious evidence of restoration. The paint surface shows some areas of craquelure, and a small loss to the paint at the edge of the frame on the right hand side. The frame appears to be structurally sound, but shows some cracking to the moulded details, an area of possible filler and some rubbing and wear to the gilt finish.
