A George III inlaid mahogany oval tray, with a pierced brass gallery and brass side handles, inlaid with scrolling foliate detail and urns, 62cm x 41cm (at fault)

Large split running horizontally across the tray, visible to the front and reverse, with cut-in repairs to the reverse bridging the split (see pictures). There is also a later added leather panel to the reverse, covering the crack. There are several cracks and splits around the edge of the top of the tray, as well as general scratching and wear. Some losses to the inlay. Gaps visible between the tray and the gallery. Heavy scratching, wear and chipping to the underside of the tray, with gaps visible between the gallery and the tray. The gallery is heavily dented, and shows splits in several places, and some lost screws. Please see pictures for illustration.
