An Edwardian silver vesta, marks for Birmingham 1903 (maker's mark worn), of plain polished rectangular form with hinged cover, with an embossed figure of a fairy to centre, 5.7cm x 4cm, weight 43.7gms

More Information

Overall condition is good. Please note that we suspect the fairy is not original to the case and is later applied and is not hallmarked. There appear to be solder marks around the fairy figure and a solder mark to the left of the fairy (please see the first picture - mark is to the left of the wing). There are a few small dents to the front and reverse. Hallmarks to the cover are heavily worn, but hallmarks to the inside lip are clearer. Cover opens smoothly and closes with a snap. Moderate scratching and wear to case consistent with age and use.
