A Victorian pearl set swallow brooch, designed as two swallows in flight with pearls set to bodies, set upon a knife edge bar, interspersed by further pearls, hinged pin and safety loop fastening to reverse, applied pad stamped '15', 39mm wide, weight 4.5gms

There are a few cracks and small chips to the pearls, general scratching and wear throughout, with some dirt build up around the edges of the pearls - some cleaning required. The bodies of the birds are in good order, no major denting, thinning, splitting or repair. General scratching and wear throughout. Bar in good order, no major denting, thinning, splitting or repair. General scratching and wear throughout. There is moderate bending to the pin, but no thinning or splitting. Pin is a little wobbly at the join, but is in working order. Heavy scratching and wear to the exterior of the box. See pictures for illustration.
