Fees

A late 19th/early 20th century French champlevé and green onyx clock garniture, the 11cm gilt metal dial applied with Arabic numeral roundels, enclosing the twin train movement stamped 'Medaille D'Argent', striking on a coiled gong, with mercury compensated pendulum, within a four glass bevelled case, 34cm high, along with a pair of en-suite urn garnitures, 32cm high (3)

More Information

All enamel appears to be intact showing no obvious losses, but showing fine surface wear commensurate with age throughout. All metal mounts appear to be securely attached, and showing minor rubbing to the gilt mounts commensurate with age. The front glass door to the clock face shows wear to the gilt finish of the frame and is hard to open. The rear glass door to the movement shows similar but lesser wear to the gilt finish of the frame, and opens easily. All the glass panels show minor surface wear commensurate with age, but appear clear and bright. The dial numerals show minor wear. The jade finial of the clock appears to be complete and original. The movement appears well maintained but is untested and therefore not guaranteed to be working.
