Vinaigrette: Good order. No obvious splitting or signs of repair. Some minor denting to the exterior peppered throughout, moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. Cover opens smoothly and closes flush. Interior grille shows bending to the corners. Opens smoothly, but does not sit completely flush. Some minor splitting to the pierced detail, visible on the underside of the grille. Grille appears secure, but there does appear to be some splitting around the hinge. Heavy scratching and wear to the interior commensurate with age and use. Some later engraving to the inside of cover. Moderate loss to the gilt.

Pin box: Moderate denting to the body and cover, heavy scratching and general wear commensurate with age and use. No large splits, thinning or repair.
