A large Victorian silver snuff box by Edward Smith, Birmingham 1858, of rectangular form with shaped border and engraved decoration, vacant cartouche to hinged cover and gilt interior, 9.4cm x 6.2cm x 2.5cm, weight 5.62ozt

Overall very good. No signs of major denting, splitting or thinning. General scratching and wear to exterior, scratching concentrated to the vacant cartouche revealing the gilt underneath. Gilt interior in good order, moderate scratching and wear, hallmarks are clear. Lid opens and closes smoothly, but a small gap is visible to one corner.
