A 19th century part canteen of fiddle and thread pattern silver cutlery, the majority marked for 'JS' (possibly John Stone), London 1849, comprising twelve dinner forks, 20.6cm long, eleven dessert forks, 17.7cm long, twelve dessert spoons, 18.2cm long, sixteen teaspoons, 14.3cm long, six egg spoons, 12.8cm long, three salt spoons, 11cm long, a pair of sugar tongs, 14.4cm long, two sauce ladles, 18.3cm long, six table spoons, 22.8cm long, two serving spoons, 30.7cm long, two meat skewers, 30.4cm and 25.5cm long, and a soup ladle, 34.4cm long, the terminals engraved with a crest depicting a fist clutching a spur, gross weight 154.94ozt, together with eleven stainless steel dinner knives and twelve stainless steel dessert knives by Elkington & Co, all contained within a mahogany canteen, 45cm x 34cm x 21cm
