A near pair of Victorian ash, elm and beech spindle back elbow chairs, each formed with a concave top rail and spindle uprights over a shaped seat, raised upon conforming turned front legs and cross stretchers, 56cm high (2)(at fault) seat height 45cm, width at front 55cm

First chair has a break in the left arm with evidence of restoration to the same arm and screws added to the underside, further evidence of restoration at the base of the spindles, apart from the left arm chair joints appear firm.
Second chair has evidence of restoration at the base of the spindles with one spindle having a break at the tip, further evidence of restoration to the underside, although the chair feels firm with little or no play in the joints.
